New Units

It has arrived! It took a bit longer than expected since we had switched over to a PCB fabricator in Hong Kong. The quality turned out to be way better than I had anticipated.

More details to come in the following days after I finish programming the microcontroller for this board.

Sneak Preview

Sneak preview at the new upcoming replacement design for the Sentry, Impulse, and Scorpion AEG controller boards:

Changes:

• Circuit width reduced by 25%, now it is SMALLER than a typical AEG fuse holder!
• User-adjustable motor speed control via onboard potentiometer. (added to all 3 circuits)
• Soft startup to prevent torque shock. (added to all 3 circuits)
• Active braking completely redesigned: (added to all 3 circuits)
• P-channel braking MOSFET replaced with N-channel MOSFET & high-side MOSFET driver.
• AEG motor now run by the replacement high-side N-Ch MOSFET (originally was low-side N-Ch MOSFET).
• Braking now controlled by the low-side N-Ch MOSFET (originally was high-side P-Ch MOSFET).
• Microcontroller PWM pin demultiplexing to allow total state control of both MOSFETs. (added to all 3 circuits)
• Resettable fuse removed, replaced with current/temperature sensor. Protects circuit without the additional resistance of a fuse. (added to all 3 circuits)
• Revolutionary 100% failproof shot/gear position detection mechanism. Will replace the sound and current mech shot detection methods. (Scorpion and Ultimate only)
• Relatively easy to install, extremely long operating life, and fits in almost any gearbox (including the "filled" V2 reinforced gearboxes).
• Provides THE most reliable burst fire on the market with NO adjustments needed (timer-based/sound/current-reading burst circuits are never 100% reliable and will require adjustments or reprogramming).

Not changed:

• The price : ). My goal is to design the ultimate AEG circuit, not making tons of money.

With these changes, this circuit will officially be the most feature-packed AEG controller board on the market (feel free to let us know if you find something better). As far as we know, there is no other AEG controller that has full-cycle completion (besides the Systema Revolution gearbox) or offers next-gen realism features to various AEGs (Systema PTW is just limited to the MP5 and M4/16).

Estimated time to release: Beginning of November. Prototypes will be shipped to certain long-time customers at an earlier date for testing runs.
